Modular Light Panels
During an internship with Nanoleaf in Shenzhen, China, I worked on many projects including the Aurora modular lighting panels and the new Nanoleaf Remote. I also helped in the development of their app. I found methods of improving their processes for rapid prototyping and worked closely with the Research and Development team to implement design changes to their products and their app.

3D Printed Jet Engine
Working on the Power Transmission Team at JetX Engineering, IÂ helped develop the worlds first 3D printed jet engine with an integrated monitoring system, the XPlorer-1; this model won the SolidWorks Project of the Year in 2017. IÂ was promoted to Team Leader after two years working on the project, taking the lead on the engineering of the core and central transmission shaft for the new XPlorer-2.

Water Park Feature
A final year design project in partial fulfilment of my MEng degree programme. This group project saw the development of a rotating climbing wall, which is powered by the user. One of the critical aims of this project was to reduce sedentary behaviour in children, by encouraging them to expend energy in the water park in order to operate the water features and interactive elements.
The wall moves liked a treadmill, rotating as the user climbs the wall and powering a motor. This motor generates the power required for the interactive components on the wall to function. An all-natural filtration system keeps the water clean.

Electric Waste collection vehicle
Tasked with developing a business model and technical design for a transport system which runs on renewable energy in the Isle of Arran, an electric waste collection vehicle was designed. The model converted old vehicles from running on diesel to electricity. This project was completed as a group task, with engineers from all backgrounds and disciplines.
