About Me
I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Glasgow and graduated with a 2:1 MEng in 2019. My interests in product design have been inspired by design projects throughout my degree and the work I have done during internships.

I was listed in the JP Morgan Future100, a list of the most influential women at university in the UK in 2018, following my work leading the FemEng society to success in the Bloomberg Diversity Awards. I also won the Engineering Leadership Award from the Incorporation of Hammermen.

Experience
2018
Rolls-Royce Intern
I was listed as a Top 10 Finalist in the Female Undergraduate of the Year Awards and given an internship with Rolls-Royce in their Birmingham office.
I worked in the fuel spray nozzle team, producing 3D printed models and optimising the manufacturing process for jet engine components. I worked in both the design team, and in the manufacture of components.
2018
Master's Student at
TU Dresden
In my final year of university, I travelled to Germany to complete my Master's thesis at the Technische Universitat Dresden, which won the award for Best Thesis from the Scottish Association for Metals. During my time there I conducted research into the influence of textile design on the strength of hybrid reinforced cementitious composites.

I was awarded a scholarship by the IMechE for my work on this project.
2017
Nanoleaf Intern
I completed an internship with product design start-up Nanoleaf, based in Shenzhen, China. I worked in their marketing, design, and research and development teams. I predominantly worked on the Nanoleaf remote, producing prototypes and developing their new app. I visited factories and saw the design process from concept to manufacture.

I travelled to China for eight weeks on a scholarship, awarded by the British Council.
2015 - 2018
JetX Team Leader
During my time at the University of Glasgow, I was on the team for JetX, a group of students designing and testing 3D printed jet engine models. Our first model, the XPlorer-1, won awards and gained international recognition as the worlds first 3D printed jet engine with an integrated monitoring system.
2014 - 2018
Committee of Femeng
I am passionate about bridging the gender gap in STEM studies and careers. I joined FemEng (Glasgow University Female Engineering Society) in my first year, and was part of the committee for the following three years.
I was Networking Convener for two years before being voted in as President in 2017.
2017 - 2018
Interconnect Student Champion
I worked as an Interconnect Student Champion, collaborating with Equate Scotland to create a network of female students and young professionals in STEM fields.

In this role I started the Interconnect Wind Farm Project, working with SSE, Scottish Power and Mott MacDonald to bring this project to students.
